Malcolm Bourne (Head of Property and Site Development Lead at Trinity College, Bristol) reflects on the completion of Phase One of the Student Village Masterplan at Trinity College, a five-year, community-focused project that combined sustainable design with theological purpose.

Despite funding pressures and heritage constraints, a collaborative, transparent design process—supported by The Housing Festival—enabled the first phase to be delivered on time and on budget. The project demonstrates how heritage, innovation, and partnership can come together to create a hopeful model for the future of theological education.
